But that you knew. 03/06/2011
This is one place in particular that offers a splendid view of the sky. Perfect for catching glimpses of the brightest stars that determinedly shine through the haze of the city lights, the magnificent spectrum of colors as the sun sinks below the ocean, or the puffy white clouds against the bright blue sky as they are blown to and fro by the sea breezes. Somedays, it is absolutely necessary to lie down on the ground and from the flat of your back attempt to take in the splendor of the world. And on occasion these somedays are really somednights or in actuality someearlymornings (which can be altogether overlooked if you are currently number among the most pleasant group of Vikings you'll ever meet). The world just seems to hold more beauty when you are as physically close to the earth as possible. It's not really a hard thing to accomplish, you simply humble yourself and awkwardly bend your knees and lean into that one handed, momentary crab-walk stance as your bottom finds the ground and then lean back and attempt to feel the earth spin beneath you. It may seem mundane and perfectly ordinary, but next time you’re in my neck of the woods stop on by and we will lie on my drive and try to absorb the beauty of the world. It’s perfectly lugvely.
